Halo:Reach Clay Figurines of Team Noble

Posted by: rasp1 on: 07/02/2010 01:09 PM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

The last time we devoured the awesomeness that is the continually growing collection of miniature, Halo-themed clay figures, many of you were quick to demand more Noble Team. Not being one to disappoint, Antithesis decided to step up his game and produce just that.

His most recent batch (which includes a superbly sculpted Carter-A259 and Emile-A239 along with a custom VI-ETS Security Guard Spartan and Sangheili Exemplar) is sure to leave your loins aching for more Halo: Reach. Unfortunately that is one itch that won't get scratched until September so until then, I'm hoping the following pictures will get you through. Grab a sock, an apple pie, or your Mjolnir Mark VI helmet, and hit the jump. Just don't hit it too hard. That poor hand needs a break every now and again you know.

'Black Box' - A Halo 3 Montage

Posted by: rasp1 on: 07/02/2010 10:43 AM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

Gear61 Owns writes:

Come here baby, I love your company.

It's Thursday morning. We didn't run an Average Joe or a Community Spotlight this week, and the June Podcast is nowhere to be found. I don't have any of that stuff to offer you. But I do have this montage.

"This is a Halo 3 montage from Pacific Lutheran University's Halo club entitled, 'Black Box,' edited by s0r3. I felt that the gameplay was lacking overall, featuring a couple mediocre doubles and triples, but the gameplay really picks up at the end (look out for the back to back overkills on Narrows) and the editing is simply phenomenal, showcasing some interesting angles and a very unique flow. The soundtrack is also unique, and the editing makes it work very well. Enjoy!"

'Wonderful Scenery' - Halo: Reach Beta

Posted by: rasp1 on: 07/02/2010 10:39 AM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

Silence fills the empty maps, now that you have gone.

Kinda relaxing. These maps are way better with people in 'em, though. Oh

"I made this video from some old clips I had saved in my Reach Beta. I didn't take the time to admire the scenery when I was playing, so I made this to showcase it. Sit back and relax, and enjoy all of the wonderful scenery Bungie has created."

'One in a Million' - A Halo 3 Montage

Posted by: rasp1 on: 07/02/2010 10:35 AM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

I am one in a million.

Yup. Moar montage. You know the deal.

"This is Trigatron's first Halo 3 montage, edited by himself, entitled, 'One in a Million.' For a first montage, it's pretty damn impressive, featuring some sick sniper multikills and well done editing. The gameplay gets better as the montage progresses so make sure to watch it until the end. Enjoy!"

'Capture and Fly' - Halo 3 Machinima

Posted by: rasp1 on: 07/02/2010 10:33 AM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

Spartans vs. Elites, machinima style.

HBO pointed this out to all the Halo lovers out there. to an action packed machinima depicting war on a planetary scale. Okay, so it's really just on Valhalla, but hey, it's a really big map! Check it out.

Bungie and Activision sign a 10-year Distrubution Deal

Posted by: rasp1 on: 07/02/2010 09:28 AM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

Bungie and Activision sign a 10 year deal to publish all new Bungie games.  I know I'm way late on this, but I saw it at getyourgameon.ws. Makes me wonder what the new game they are working on is going to be about.

Bungie Weekly Update: 06.11.10

Contributed by: rasp1 on: 06/24/2010 03:26 PM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

E3 is upon us.  And Bungie is still tight lipped about what will drop during this E3.  I don't think they will let slip their new title because it is non-Halo, and right now they are all in big time Reach mode.

Bungie Weekly Update: 06.04.10

Contributed by: rasp1 on: 06/24/2010 01:03 PM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

This is the last update before E3 hits next week and all hell breaks loose.  What will that bring? Who knows, but I'm sure it will be good.  But Bungie has taken the lid off of some new stuff and they are working towards ZBR.  Basically it is a major freeze on the code with emphasis of fixing bugs and precursor for the RC series.  How will that go?

Pressing A on any of the highlighted categories on the left side of the screen will drill users into a stats castle an order of magnitude larger than anything we’ve ever shown in game.

This screen in particular is dynamically sorting the user’s Commendation progress, elevating the most advanced Commendations to the top of the screen. In this case, the user has only played multiplayer matchmaking, but if they had Commendation progress in other modes, those would be sprinkled throughout this screen.

Like Halo 3, you’ll be able to look at other player’s Service Records and panes like this one, or the mode-specific Commendations breakdown will provide quick and dirty playstyle tendencies for your friends and foes.

A mountain of dudes, including engineers Brad Fish, Michael Williams, Gareth Lough and UI designers Dave Candland and Andrew Davis – along with some sweet, sweet iconography work from Stoshy – got the Service Record to the state it’s in.

Content embargo enabled, you will get nothing, and you will like it damn it.  Come back next year and we will tell you all you want to know about Reach.  Oh, and we had a terrible info leak, the Reach is going to hit shelves on 09.14.10.  We are looking for who leaked that and we are going to fire them, kill them, bring them back to life, kill them a second time, then bury them in concrete.  The stuff we have to deal with damnit.
